Stafford Rangers bounced back from their heavy weekend defeat in perfect fashion with a convincing 3-0 win over Nantwich Town.

Former Dabbers players Matthew Bailey and Osebi Abadaki netted in the first half to put Rangers in a commanding position before Richard Gregory settled the tie.

Neil Kitching would have been delighted with his team’s start as they took a third-minute lead when Bailey rose highest to head home a corner.

Rangers doubled their lead on 21 minutes with recent signing Abadaki firing home from the edge of the box across the helpless goalkeeper.

However, after half-an-hour the Dabbers were handed a way back into the tie when Harry Clayton was judged to have been brought down inside the box and a penalty was awarded.

Rangers’ fans felt justice was done when Sean Cooke saw his spot-kick rattle the bar.

Boro secured the victory on 62 minutes with Batchelor crossing to Gregory and the marksman took a touch before lashing his shot home.
