Rangers' first Blue Square North away win of the season on Tuesday night, 1-0 at Redditch, lifted them to three points from safety, albeit with a far inferior goal difference.

Their nearest rivals above the drop line, Hyde, come to Marston Road on Saturday and, while only a win in double figures will take them out of the relegation places, three points would be another shot in the arm especially with two games in hand over their visitors.

But Elliott hasn't been entirely pleased with the performances from his players in their last three games, despite winning two and drawing one, as he feels there hasn't been a complete display from start to finish.

And, with further home tests to come against Boston United next Tuesday and Blyth Spartans on Saturday week, the manager wants Rangers to step it up a gear.

He said: "I feel there is more in us yet and I am sure the lads probably recognise that themselves. There is more to come and, if we can tap into that potential, we will give ourselves a great chance.

"We have had a decent run but we are far from getting carried away, we are more than aware of the tasks ahead. The moment we think the job is done, we will have problems.

"This is going to go on right to the back end of the season, with the situation as it stands."
