Grantham Town 2 Stafford Rangers 2 - Report

Stafford Rangers saw their struggles continue as Grantham Town struck twice in the second half to send them to a 13th league defeat of the season.

The first half saw little in the way of chances on a tricky pitch which made it difficult for both sides to create openings.

Despite the tough surface the visitors took a second half lead when skipper Craig Westcarr’s effort fell nicely for Jake Green to tuck home the rebound.

With time running out on Rangers’ search for an equaliser, they were boosted by the introduction of Robert Thompson-Brown and Joseph Berks.

However, any hope of a late equaliser ended with a second Grantham goal in the dying moments as Craig Westcarr broke the off-side trap and races clear before slotting home.
