Aston Villa donate food to homeless following Chelsea postponement

Aston Villa have donated food to the homeless following the postponement of their clash with Chelsea at Villa Park.

With professional English football suspended until April 3, Villa were left with a surplus of food ahead of the 5.30pm kick off, that was due to be live on Sky.

Staff packed lunches and hot food for hospitality areas that has been prepared in advance of the match.

They will now be distributed to homeless organisations and sheltered accommodation units through the Aston Villa Foundation.
