The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) National Greyhound Week is under way, running from August 24-31, and the flagship event at Monmore is the Bank Holiday Fun Day.
General admission is free for all the family, with doors opening at 1pm before the first of 12 races on the day goes off at 2.23pm.
Race-goers will be able to meet retired racers who are now available for adoption from Greyhound Trust Wolverhampton, while there will also be fundraising activities for the homing charity and a face painter for the kids - proceeds from that also going to the Trust.
Paul Mason, general manager at Monmore, said: "We're excited to support National Greyhound Week and the celebration of 100 years of greyhound racing in Britain, especially with us being the longest-running track in the country, with the first-ever meeting in the UK being at Belle Vue in 1926 before we opened in January 1928.
"Bank Holidays here always tend to attract a nice crowd, of all different ages and backgrounds.
"With it being free admission on the day, we are always a little reliant on the weather so, fingers crossed, the rain stays away and it's a lovely afternoon.
"It's been an exciting time with the culmination of both the Ladbrokes Gold Cup and Summer Stayers Classic last weekend, won in fantastic fashion by Woltemade and Fortanach Col respectively, and our Bank Holiday Fun Day should be a great way to cap off August."
General admission is free at the turnstile with the option to purchase a race programme for £2.
