Hednesford and Halesowen learn potential FA Cup ties
The path to the FA Cup first round proper has been mapped out for Hednesford Town and Halesowen Town.
Hednesford head to Billericay Town on Tuesday night for a third qualifying round replay, where they will hope to book their spot in the fourth qualifying round for the second year in a row.
And should they overcome the Essex club, they will be back on the road in less than a fortnight's time after being drawn away to Spennymoor Town of National League North - a division higher than the Pitmen.
The winner of that fourth qualifying round tie would then progress to the first round proper, where the likes of EFL clubs Walsall, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers come into the competition.
Halesowen Town are also in Essex hoping to achieve the same thing - but their third qualifying round replay at Aveley takes place on Monday night.
Should they progress, National League outfit Gateshead will travel to The Grove on Saturday, October 11.
Gateshead were Hednesford's opponents in the fourth qualifying round last year, with the Pitmen drawing 1-1 at home before downing the Heed in a replay in the North East.
Halesowen have made a solid start to their Southern Central Premier campaign, while Gateshead are currently 14th in the National League.
The winners of the fourth qualifying round ties not only land a place in the first round proper, but £9,325 in prize money as well.
