Update on homes plan on site of fire-hit Bilston pub
The Bilston pub was destroyed by fire in 2021 in a suspected arson attack.
A second bid to build homes on the site of a pub wrecked by fire has been rejected.
The application proposed to build nine homes where the former Travellers Rest once stood on Great Bridge Road.
It was later demolished for safety reasons and hoardings have since been erected around the site.
Applicant Sukhjinder Khera had hoped to build seven four bedroom and two three-bedroom homes on the now vacant site.

Walsall Council said the redevelopment of a brownfield site for housing would attract significant benefits.
However, it was refused by the authority as it required 25 parking spaces for the homes but only 13 were proposed.
It was also refused on the grounds of insufficient information about Biodiversity Net Gain.
It’s the second application put forward by Mr Khera for the site.
The last one, for ten homes, was refused on the grounds of loss of the former public house, highway safety, drainage, land stability and the absence of a legal agreement to secure an open space contribution.
