West Midlands sandwich shop launches brand new bar after refurb
The venue reopened for Sunday lunch today.
A sandwich shop in Staffordshire has reopened today (Sunday) after a refurb and has launched a new bar.
Lunch at Loafers announced previously that its site at 44 Bore Street, Lichfield, would be transformed this month.
The new-look venue will host a range of events including comedy nights, cocktail and bottomless events, craft-making sessions and quiz nights.
It will still open during the day but has extended its offering.
Today it reopened for Sunday lunch following the refurb.
A post by the business earlier today on Facebook said: “TODAY IS THE DAY! After all the hard work, late nights, painting, building, cleaning, planning and more cups of coffee than we care to count… 44 Bore Street is finally launching!
“In just a few hours, we’ll be opening our doors for our SOLD-OUT Sunday Lunch, and we honestly couldn’t be more overwhelmed or excited!
“I’m struggling to find the words to thank everyone for all the best wishes, positivity, encouragement and support you’ve shown us throughout this journey.
“It has genuinely meant the world to us. We are so excited to officially launch 44 Bore Street — our restaurant with a fully stocked bar, offering a fantastic selection of drinks to complement your meal.
“We can’t wait to open those doors and welcome all of our Sunday lunch guests today. It’s going to be a very special day!
“And if you’re passing, please pop in and have a look at what we’ve done. Come and say hello, have a chat with the staff and see the transformation for yourself.
“We’re incredibly excited about this new chapter and can’t wait to work with and welcome you all.”
A post yesterday said: “The amount of work that has gone into this has been HUGE. It’s been a much bigger job than we originally thought, but seeing it all come together tonight makes it so worthwhile.
“Because we still need to train the team properly and get everyone fully up to speed, we’ll be CLOSED MONDAY for staff training and preparation.
“Then on TUESDAY, WE’RE BACK! We’ll be reopening 44 Bore Street for breakfast and lunch, and we’re also incredibly excited to launch our NEW TAKEAWAY COUNTER!
“So whether you’re joining us to sit down and enjoy the new restaurant, popping in for breakfast or lunch, or grabbing something delicious to take away — we can’t wait to welcome you!”
