Water disruption in Birmingham continues due to burst pipe on private network

Residents in the B14 area are affected.

Birmingham residents continue to experience disruption to water supplies due to a burst pipe on a private network.

Severn Trent Water were first notified of the issue affecting the B14 area, which covers Kings Heath, at around 7.30pm last night (November 2).

The water supplier apologised to customers who were still experiencing no supply, poor pressure or discoloured water today (November 3) and explained that “teams are carrying out some essential repair due to a burst water pipe on a private network as a gesture of goodwill.”

The statement added: “Although we didn’t anticipate this affecting our customers, we are aware that some customer’s supplies have now been impacted.

“We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing and are confident this repair will be completed as soon as possible.”

Further updates on this issue can be found on the Severn Trent Water website.
