Warning over bogus Census officials

Criminals posing as Census officials are stealing cash from pensioners in the West Midlands after tricking their way into their homes, police said today.

Two homes have been targeted by conmen posing as officials collecting forms, and police today urged the elderly and their families to be wary.

They also warned against giving out bank details to anyone calling out their house, and told people to always check for official ID.
