Urgent works underway to repair water leak on Brierley Hill road
Motorists heading along a busy road in Brierley Hill are being warned to expect delays as urgent work gets underway to repair a water leak.
Dudley Emergency Works put out a message on social media to inform motorists of the work on Delph Road in Brierley Hill, near the island junction of Mount Pleasant, with the work by engineers from South Staffs Water expected to be completed on September 15.
A spokesman for Dudley Emergency Works said: "Please be aware that South Staffs Water are undertaking urgent works to repair a water leak on Delph Road (B4172), Brierley Hill, near the island junction of Mount Pleasant, under a two-way signals.
"Works are scheduled for completion on September 15."
A spokesman for South Staffs Water said: "We are completing some work on an urgent repair to one of our pipes located on Delph Road.
"The leak was repaired on Tuesday, and our team are now working on backfilling and reinstating the road."
