A family-run antiques business will be closing its doors after nearly four years due to the owners decided to focus on their more successful other business.

Caldicott’s, which has run on Stourport High Street since early 2022, has begun a closing down sale, with the owners saying that the closure was due to their other business Caldiprops becoming very busy.

In a message on social media, the owners said: “We have been busy in the shop reducing loads of prices ready for our closing down sale.

"You will know from our post earlier in the year that we no longer have the time to manage the shop due to how busy our sister company Caldiprops has become.

“We have therefore taken the option to use the break clause in our lease.

"Our last day of trading will be Saturday, May 23, or sooner, depending on stock levels.

"All of our own stock is reduced. Our dealer items are excluded from the sale unless the ticket says otherwise.

"Please come and pay us a visit whilst stock lasts."

Caldiprops creates quirky props and themed sets using top software and gadgets to bring people's ideas to life and also has a range of items ready for hire, including furniture, lighting, sound, equipment, antiques and more.
