Facebook’s standalone virtual reality headset Oculus Go launches

Facebook-owned Oculus has released its first standalone virtual reality headset as it looks to make the technology more mobile and accessible.

The Oculus Go is the first high-end standalone virtual reality headset of its kind, with the display and computing power built directly into the headset.

The technology giant confirmed the launch of the much-anticipated headset at Facebook’s annual developer conference, F8.

Inside Oculus Go, users will be able to try out more than 1,000 apps and experiences, including VR games.

The new headset will also be home to new social experiences, including Oculus Venues, where users will be able to experience live concerts and events wherever they are.
