Film lovers invited to enjoy immersive movie experience at Sandwell parks

There is set to be a summer of movie fun as a popular outdoor cinema series returns to two Sandwell parks.

REEL FEEL Cinema has announced that it will be bringing its immersive outdoor cinema experience to Sandwell Valley Showground over Early May Bank Holiday weekend from May 2 to May 4 and at Lightwoods House in Bearwood across June 13 and June 14, as well as an extra date at Sandwell Valley on June 14.

Each day will feature multiple film showings, with tickets ranging from general admission to VIP tickets, including access to deck chairs right at the front of the cinema area, with ticket prices including Children, Adult and Family tickets.

A wide range of films have also been selected, with an emphasis on sing-a-long and immersive viewing from the films chosen.

At Sandwell Valley, the first day on Saturday May 2 sees a sing-a-long of Disney film Encanto from 11am to 2.30pm, then a sing-a-long of the live action Lion King from 3pm to 6pm and, finally, an immersive viewing of 90s classic Jurassic Park, including pyrothenics and special effects.

Sunday, May 3 sees a sing-a-long of Coco from 11am to 2.30pm, followed by an immersive viewing of 80s adventure film The Goonies from 3pm to 6pm, before The Greatest Showman brings an immersive sing-a-long from 6pm to 9.30pm.

The final day on May 4 sees a day of sing-a-long musicals, with Mama Mia starting the day with a sing-a-long showing from 11am to 2.30pm, while Wicked brings more tunes from 3pm to 6pm and, finally, 70s classic Grease brings an immersive sing-a-long from 6pm to 9.30pm.

There will also be a stand-alone showing of Encanto from 3pm to 6pm on June 14.

At Lightwoods House, there will be five cinema experiences for people to enjoy.

On June 13, the event will start with an immersive viewing of the Steven Spielberg classic Hook from 11am to 2.30pm, before The Goonies brings another immersive viewing from 3pm to 6pm and, finally, there will be an immersive sing-a-long of The Greatest Showman from 6pm to 9.30pm.

June 14 will see two final musical experiences, with Disney classic Aladdin providing a song-a-long from 3pm to 6pm and Moulin Rouge providing an immersive sing-a-long experience from 6pm to 9.30pm.
