Man charged with attempted rape after woman grabbed in Great Barr

A 28-year-old man has been charged with attempted rape after a woman reported being grabbed as she walked along a Great Barr road.
Police have been investigating the incident which happened in Parkwood Croft at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, October 27.
Ricco Carty, 28, was arrested and has since been charged with attempted rape.
Carty has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
The woman is being supported by specialist officers from West Midlands Police’s Public Protection Unit.
