Major West Midlands lane closure due to collapsed manhole cover

A lane closure remains in place on the A45 in Warwickshire after a collapsed manhole prompted emergency traffic management measures, according to National Highways.
The incident has resulted in the closure of Lane 1 of two lanes on the eastbound carriageway between the A445 near Ryton-on-Dunsmore and the B4455 near Stretton-on-Dunsmore.
National Highways confirmed in an update issued on Saturday that repair work is ongoing, with traffic officers continuing to monitor the situation.
