'What if the council tells the Government no?' Walsall's leaders to be grilled on housing as green belt under threat
Bosses at Walsall Council will be pressed on the issue of housing at a meeting of full council next week.


Brownhills lies on the ancient Watling Street, which has its origins to Saxon and Roman times. Yet its name had roots in the area’s mining past. A one time there were up to 10 mines working around the town before the industry’s decline by the 1950s. The town has been the focus of regeneration in recent years.
