‘Highway Maintenance’ tipper truck seized by Bridgnorth police for no insurance
Police said the tipper truck had no valid insurance
A tipper truck has been seized by police after it was found being driven without valid insurance on a public road.
Response officers from Bridgnorth Police Station seized the Volvo tipper truck on Wednesday (November 4) after discovering it was being driven without the necessary insurance cover.
A photograph shared by West Mercia Police shows the truck, which has the words ’Highway Maintenance’ on the back, loaded onto the back of a recovery vehicle.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Driving without insurance is a serious offence and can result in vehicles being seized, penalty points, fines, and prosecution.
“This enforcement is not only about protecting other road users, but also the driver. Insurance helps ensure that drivers, passengers, and members of the public are protected should a collision occur.
“We would remind both drivers and companies of the importance of ensuring that all vehicles are fully road legal before being used on the public highway.
“This includes having valid insurance, tax, MOT (where required), and ensuring vehicles are maintained in a safe condition.”
