Hednesford Town renovation 'ruined' by sticker-up job

Hednesford Town has hit out at fans from FC United, a club set up by breakaway fans from Manchester United, after vandalism during the clubs' game at Keys Park.
The United fans left stickers on the railings of the away terracing during the National League North game last Saturday, leaving club officials with a timely clean-up operation.
It came after about a group of Pitmen fans spent the summer months painting and cleaning the ground.
A statement on Twitter from the club said: "Fans work hard all summer painting and cleaning to have it ruined in one afternoon. Stickers cause damage, time and extra work."
The club also uploaded several pictures on their Twitter feed showing some of the stickers stuck on railings at the ground which holds a capacity of over 6,000.
Scott Smith, chairman of Hednesford Town Supporters Trust, said he saw about half a dozen stickers stuck on the barriers.
"It's really disappointing to see this take place because people have worked so hard, in their own time, to paint and clean around the ground," he said.
"It's more of an annoyance really. People may say 'its only a few stickers' but either they are stuck on forever or you take it off and it leaves marks or the paint comes off with it.
"When this happens it then takes more time to clean up.
"And you have to remember we all have other jobs.
"We are not anti-anyone, we want everyone to come here and have a good time. But the stickers may still be there tomorrow and it may encourage other fans to stick things on."
Andy Walker, a a press officer for FC United, said: "Hednesford Town have not approached us about this incident so we are in a position where we cannot provide much comment on this.
"If Hednesford Town approached us about the incident then we would be happy to discuss it with them."
FC United were formed in 2005 by Manchester United supporters opposed to American businessman Malcolm Glazer's controversial takeover of the club.
