Care home residents evacuated by rescue teams from SARA in Stourbridge fire

Care home residents have been rescued by SARA

Rescue teams from SARA were deployed to help evacuees in Stourbridge last night.

The crews helped residents from a local care home.

Fourteen crews and two vehicles tended to the incident after they were called by the local police and fire service.

SARA said they provided ‘logistical support’.

Ian Lofthouse, General Manager for the SARA Wyre Forest Station told the Express & Star: “We were tasked (14 crew and 2 vehicles) to the Stourbridge incident by the Police/Fire and assisted with the evacuation of residents from a care home and provided logistical support by transporting relief fire crews.”
