Two long-lost brothers have had a tearful reunion after 15 years apart, unaware they were living just a few miles from each other.
Two long-lost brothers have had a tearful reunion after 15 years apart, unaware they were living just a few miles from each other.
John and George Marfell were overwhelmed with joy when they finally met up at Netherton Green Residential Home in Bowling Green Road, Netherton.
John, aged 70, from Larch Road, Kingswinford, lost contact with 77-year-old George when he suddenly moved to his daughter Anne's house in Rowley Regis from Windmill Lane, Smethwick, without forwarding his new address.
The younger brother was determined to track down his sibling when his wife Val died and he contacted the Salvation Army for help. He was not expecting to hear anything for months so he was amazed to get a call from the Salvation Army to say George was living in a local nursing home.
By coincidence George had started to reply to the Salvation Army with the home's events co-ordinator Fay Robbins when John suddenly turned up in reception on January 16.
