Driver left facing fine after illegal parking in zig zag lines in Brownhills

A driver has been left facing an expensive lesson after being fined for parking illegally on pedestrian crossing lines.

 Brownhills, Pelsall, Shelfield and Rushall Police posted a picture of a red Volkswagen, which had been parked on zig zag lines on Brownhills High Street in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The force said it was prohibited to park anywhere near zig zag lines, which are seen near a crossing, and had issued a ticket.

A spokesman for the force said: "A ticket has been issued in relation to illegal parking on zig zag lines in Brownhills High Street. 

"As a driver, this is prohibited. 

"You must not park your vehicle anywhere within these markings (before or after a crossing)."
