Man admits fraud and theft charges in Wolverhampton and Dudley

A man has admitted stealing thousands of pounds from elderly victims in Dudley and Wolverhampton.

Cornel Birzoi, aged 53, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday after being charged with  offences of  fraud by false representation and theft from a motor vehicle.

Officers made an arrest on Monday after quickly responding to a call from an eagle-eyed member of the public who’d seen a recent appeal and believed they had seen a man matching the description in a bank on Castle Street, Dudley.
