Two charged in connection with robbery and theft offences in Wyre Forest

Two people have been charged in connection with a number of offences in the Stourport-on-Severn and Kidderminster areas.

Thomas Harris, 38, of York Street in Stourport-on-Severn, has been charged with fourteen offences in connection with a range of incidents.

These include seven thefts from shops spanning between April and September at a Spar in Stourport on April 27, Asda Service Station in Stourport on May 9, Tesco Express in Kidderminster on June 2, ReGenerate in Kidderminster on June 17, Tesco in Stourport on August 9 and  Mid Counties Co-Operative Store on August 28 and September 5.

Harris was also charged with assault at Spar on Lower, Lickhill Road in Stourport on April 27, robbery on Stourport High Street on May 18, causing racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress at Morrisons Daily on Worcester Road in Stourport on June 11, possession of Class A cocaine on June 18, intimidating a witness on July 14, attempted theft from Select and Save on August 11 and robbery on York Street in Stourport on September 7.

Natalie Wood, 45, also of York Street in Stourport-on-Severn has also been charged with robbery in connection with the incident on York Street in Stourport on September 7.  

She was also charged with theft from ReGenerate in Kidderminster on June 17. 

Harris was remanded in custody and appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates on Thursday, where his case was sent to Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on October 6. He was remanded into custody until then.

Wood has been bailed to appear at court at a later date.
