Driver hurt in road rage row after two-crash near Lichfield

A driver suffered minor face injuries during a road rage incident after a two-car crash.

The incident which happened in a lay-by on the A38 in Bassets Pole near Lichfield, involved two drivers whose cars collided just after 5.30am on Thursday.

Staffordshire Police said there was a "physical altercation" resulting a man, aged in his 20s, being left with minor facial injuries.

Officers were called to the scene following the collision between a black Audi A4 and a black Vauxhall Insignia.

The injured man, who has not been named, went to hospital for a check up afterwards.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time to find out more about what happened, in particular those who might have dashcam footage that could help us."
