Gas explosions, drug dealers destroying a bus stop, police raids and now a carbon monoxide tragedy, this corner of Bloxwich has had an action packed summer.

Residents of the Mossley estate, where one man died and seven people were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning on Friday night, were reflecting on a spate of wild incidents occurring in the area as they stood outside the cordoned off takeaway yesterday.

Timmy's Takeaway had yet to open before a carbon monoxide leak on Friday night saw emergency services descend on Creswell Crescent.

One neighbour said: "They were giving CPR to people on the pavement outside. It looked like something from a film with so many people and people in masks arriving after the ambulances had left."
