Scrapyard blaze near Walsall is under control as crews scale back operation
A scrapyard blaze in Willenhall is now under control at the premises.
Around 30 firefighters fought the flames and smoke at the height of the incident at Alexander Brothers Metal Recycling in Springvale Street off St Annes Road in Willenhall around 6.25pm on Friday.
West Midlands Fire Service posed on X: "@WestMidsFire Fire at scrapyard in Ward Street, #Willenhall is now under control and we are scaling down our response. We will be remaining on scene for the next few hours."
The smoke could be seen across Willenhall and the surrounding areas as smoke billowed into the air.
