18 new static speed cameras are being erected across the Black Country - here's where they'll be
We have listed the locations of all the static speed cameras to appear across the Black Country.
New speed cameras are due to pop up across the West Midlands following an agreement between West Midlands Police, several local authorities, the West Midlands Police Crime Commissioner and the West Midlands Combined Authority.
The aim of the increase in traffic cameras is to help reduce the number of road deaths and serious injuries to zero by 2040.
The agreement covers new cameras being installed in 'speeding hotspots' and existing cameras being maintained.
The change also means that more cameras will be installed and more fines potentially issued in the future.
So to help you remain aware while driving on West Midlands roads, we have listed all the static 'average speed cameras' listed on the West Midlands Camera Enforcement Unit website.
Average speed cameras track how long it takes a vehicle to travel between two set points on the road, which is then measured to calculate your average speed. They are notable for their yellow design and are usually seen on motorways and dual-carriageways.
Note that this list is not definitive, with other locations across the Black Country also being patrolled.
