Sentence delay for Wolverhampton man accused of smuggling people
The sentencing of a man from Wolverhampton who took part in people smuggling has been delayed.
Ramal Briem, aged 33, from Crawford Road, Chapel Ash, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court charged with conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration to the UK.
The case relates to an organised crime group being involved in illegal Channel crossings.
Briem, spoke through a Kurdish interpreter, only to confirm his name. He admitted the offence at a previous hearing.
The hearing was adjourned until February 9.
