Porsche kickstarts financial turnaround with promising six-month results

German brand had been facing an uphill struggle following a difficult 2025.
Porsche has announced financial turnaround results for the first half of the year following a difficult 2025.
The German brand suffered heavy losses in 2025, reporting an operating profit of just €413 million for the year, down from €5.64 billion in 2024. It forced the brand to rethink its strategies, including its adoption of electric vehicle technology.
Now, however, Porsche has reported an operating profit of 1.35bn for the first half of the year, while return on sales has increased to 7.8 per cent from 5.5 per cent the previous year.

Michael Leiters, Porsche CEO, said: “Over the past six months, the Porsche team has worked very intensively and with great discipline on our strategy.
“However, we still have a lot of work ahead of us to position Porsche robustly for the challenging future.”
Porsche recently introduced its ‘Future Package’, showcasing its plans for 2.1bn euro investment in its production sites at Zuffenhausen and Weissach by 2035. In a statement, the brand also confirmed that 5,000 jobs would be made redundant by the middle of the next decade, ‘largely through natural attrition, demographic effects, the expansion of the special partial retirement programme and voluntary severance agreements’. It ruled out compulsory redundancies until 2035, however.
During the first half of teh year, Porsche delivered 122,306 cars worldwide and generated €17.23bn in sales revenue, contributing to €1.02bn in net cash flow overall. The proportion of electric vehicles delivered during that time fell to 19.4 per cent of overall sales – down on 23.5 per cent the year before.
The German brand now predicts sales revenues of between 35 and 36bn euros for the year 2026, with an operating return on sales of between 5.5 and 7.5 p
