Kia adds new seven-seater option to PV5

Practical electric people-mover has gained a new specification, too.
Kia has made its PV5 even more practical with a new seven-seater version.
The PV5, which was launched in 2025 in both commercial and passenger specifications, has only been available in a five-seater setup up to this point, with the new seven-seater model bringing a more practical option for buyers. However, the five-seater version will remain a part of the range.
With three rows of seating and sliding doors the seven-seater PV5 has been designed for easy access, with a 2+2+3 configuration on all models. Even with all seats in place, the PV5 offers up to 318 litres of boot space, or 785 litres with the rearmost seats folded flat.

As with the existing PV5, the van’s battery placement underneath the vehicle means that the cabin benefits from a completely flat floor.
While the five-seater PV5 is available with 51.5kWh and 71.2kWh battery options, the seven-seater model will only be available with the latter which Kia says should bring a range of up to 242 miles. A maximum charging speed of 150kW should help the PV5 to manage a 10 to 80 per cent charge in under 30 minutes, too.
Prices for the new seven-seater PV5 start from £36,995, representing a small lift on the £34,695 you’ll pay for a five-seater model with the larger battery option.

All versions come equipped with vehicle-to-load technology, too, so that domestic devices can be powered using the car’s on-board energy supply.
A new high-spec ‘Elite’ grade has also been added to the PV5 line-up, joining existing Essential and Plus models. With Elite versions, the PV5 comes equipped with electric sliding doors as standard alongside ventilated front seats, a blind-spot view monitor and side parking sensors, among other features.
