Special edition car gets a ‘Supernova Purple Ombre’ exterior paint.

Bentley has honoured eight decades of car production at its Crewe headquarters with a special version of its Continental GTC.

The car, which is finished in a standout Purple Supernova Ombre colour, was unveiled at a gathering of more than 100 customer Bentley models created during the life of the company.

In all, 107 cars owned by members of the Bentley Drivers Club returned to Bentley’s headquarters, with highlights including the EXP3 – the first Bentley to ever be delivered to a customer – and a current 2025-model Flying Spur.

Bentley’s Crewe site was originally constructed in 1938 to build Rolls-Royce Merlin engines – which were used in iconic aircraft such as the Spitfire and Lancaster – with the first Bentley vehicle rolling down the production line in 1946.

The celebration one-off Continental GTC was commissioned by Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house bespoke customisation division. With the exterior colour developed specifically for the car, the custom GTC also features an ‘80’ side graphic to commemorate the company’s milestone.

Inside, there are ‘80’ logos embroidered on the headrests of the seats, while there’s an airbrushed fascia graphic showing Bentley’s design studio.

Andreas Lehe, Bentley’s Member of the Board for Manufacturing, said: “For 80 years, it is the extraordinary people of Crewe who have defined Bentley’s success. Generation after generation, our colleagues have combined exceptional craftsmanship, passion and innovation to create some of the world’s most desirable cars. As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we are equally focused on the future.”
