Bottega Prosecco Bar will offer glasses of prosecco and wine from the Bottega selection, paired with Cicchetti - small sharing dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.

The concept was created by the Italian winery and distillery Bottega, and is focussed on sharing good wine, genuine food and convivial Italian lifestyle.

The opening marks Birmingham’s second Bottega Prosecco Bar, with the Birmingham Airport bar winning the Airport Bar of the Year award at the Drinks International Travel Retail Awards 2018. The restaurant will be launched in collaboration with local food operator Charlie’s.

The new bar joins Ed’s Easy Diner and Costa Coffee in its new canal side location neighbouring Arena Birmingham in the city centre.

Alan Goodman, general manager at Arena Birmingham, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Bottega to the Arena boardwalk to deliver a fresh and exciting canal side dining experience.

"Having established brands like Bottega offering new food and beverage options on our boardwalk ensures we provide the best possible customer experience to the 700,000 people who walk through our doors every year.”

Evelyn Armstrong, founder at Charlie’s, said: “Originally intended as airport bars, Bottega Prosecco Bars can be adapted to any environment, such as city centres, high street and evening consumers sites.

"It will attract professionals working in the offices nearby, event goers and families visiting the attractions in this area, and people living within walking distance from Arena Birmingham.

"We expect this venue to be and exciting new addition to Birmingham’s improving nightlife scene and a high volume site ‒ especially on event days.”
