The Boulton Paul Balliol was built by members of the Boulton Paul Association which was formed in 1991 to keep the company’s name alive.

The aircraft had been stored at RAF Cosford, near to Wolverhampton, for the last five years following the closure of Boulton Paul Heritage Centre.

The replica is the last built at the original Boulton Paul Aircraft Factory in Wobaston Road, Pendeford, and will be on display in an aviation museum.

The Cornwall Aviation Heritage Museum at Newquay Airport, home to RAF St Mawgan, will showcase the aircraft once museums are allowed to open.
