Wolverhampton school recognised for its commitment to inclusion
Colton Hills Community School has received a national award recognising its work to support pupils and create an inclusive learning environment
A Wolverhampton school has been awarded a national accreditation for its work to ensure all pupils feel supported and able to succeed.

Colton Hills Community School has received the IQM Inclusive School Award, which recognises schools demonstrating a commitment to inclusion and equality.
The assessment highlighted investment in pastoral care and inclusion support at all levels, with the aim of helping pupils attend school and be ready to learn.

The reviewer also praised the school's structured but flexible approach to supporting pupils, taking account of their individual wellbeing, progress and achievements.
Headteacher Julie Hunter said inclusion was central to the school's vision and values, and the award reflected the efforts of staff, pupils, families and the wider school community.

She said: "While we are incredibly proud of this recognition, we see it as an important milestone rather than a destination.
"We remain committed to continually developing our inclusive provision, listening to the voices of our students and families, and ensuring that every child receives the support, opportunities and encouragement they need to flourish."
