Local weight-loss initiative hits huge milestone
During 2025 the local Health Matters group, including Stourbridge, Sedgley and Kingswinford, benefited from a combined weight loss of 6,430lb, nearly 3 tonnes in total. That’s nearly the weight of three minis!
Run by Jane Hadley, a health coach with over 25 years of experience of working within the weight loss industry, the four local groups provide customers with the opportunity to find out how to become healthier and slimmer. The weekly groups educate members about calorie counting and the need to expend more energy than consumed.
Jane commented: “I whole heartedly believe in the importance of the knowledge about calorie counting and the burning of energy to achieve, and maintain, a healthy weight and lifestyle. There is nothing gimmicky about our approach, our groups are friendly and everyone is fully supported. We see everyone as an individual, each with their own motivations and issues and take a holistic, judgemental free focus.
“The new year is a time when many people make resolutions, including to become fit and lose weight. So why not come along to a convenient group, give us a risk free try and get ready for a new wardrobe for spring and summer. My aim is to empower people, enabling them to take control of their health and vitality.”
Groups are run weekly:
