Chloe Shaw, 24, a Trainee Legal Executive in the Family Department at Davisons Law, will run the iconic Paris Marathon as part of the firm's ongoing commitment to supporting the charity through its Club 10 membership.

The ambitious challenge will see Chloe run past famous landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, whilst raising money through a unique 'sponsor a kilometre' initiative, where businesses and individuals can sponsor each of the 42 kilometres at £25 per km.

Chloe, who has been with Davisons Law for five years after starting as an apprentice in September 2020, said: "I have wanted to run a marathon for some time now, however have been trying to find the right time to take on such a big challenge. Paris is an iconic place, and I wanted my first marathon to be a memorable experience. Knowing I'll be running past landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Seine whilst raising money for Cure Leukaemia makes it even more special."

Already an experienced runner, Chloe has completed two half marathons in Worcester and Stafford, as well as various 10km races across the country. She has also taken part in three Hyrox events, with almost all of her races raising money for Cure Leukaemia and other charities.

Her training regime is certainly not for the faint-hearted, with a typical week including three runs, two Hyrox sessions and at least one strength session, all whilst balancing her work and studies.

Chloe added: "The biggest challenge has been trying to balance work, my studies and training. It is hard to navigate this sometimes, however it is important to adapt the training to suit what is going on currently. The biggest surprise has been seeing how far I have come. It is easy to forget how much you have improved until you look back and see that progress."

With nearly £600 already raised towards her £1,000 target, Chloe is well on her way to making a significant contribution to Davisons Law's pledge to raise £10,000 for Cure Leukaemia through their Club 10 membership.

The Paris Marathon challenge represents the latest in a series of fundraising events undertaken by Davisons Law to support Cure Leukaemia. The firm is one of the first members of Club 10, a groundbreaking initiative launched by the charity to fund vital clinical trials for children battling blood cancer. Davisons Law has pledged £10,000 per year to support the ATICUS Paediatric Transplant Trials Network, which operates across ten children's hospitals nationwide.

Chloe said: "Although I haven't been personally affected by leukaemia, I've been inspired by the stories of people who have. Training for my first marathon felt like the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a charity that genuinely changes lives. Cure Leukaemia's work gives people access to treatments and hope for the future, and that's something I really wanted to be part of."

Looking ahead to race day, Chloe admits she is both excited and nervous about the challenge. "It will be such a big achievement, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't petrified, especially knowing I will be running for such a long time. I am looking forward to enjoying all that hard work I have put in. Race day is honestly about enjoying your time. I will get to run past iconic landmarks, and I just need to remember to take it all in."

Her advice to anyone considering a similar challenge? "Don't doubt yourself. If you want to do something, do it. You never know what life holds, so you could take on any challenge you want to!"
