Mum, dad and daughter to star in regional Annie production
It will be a true family affair when the curtain rises on Cradley Heath Amateur Operatic Society’s (CHAOS) November production of the beloved musical Annie.
Husband-and-wife duo Pete And Ruth Hopper will share the stage with their daughter, Jaziah who is cast in the show’s title role.
Pete is set to portray billionaire Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, while Ruth is featured as a dancer in the production.
Ruth Hopper said: “So November ‘25 is going to be so exciting — with Pete as Daddy Warbucks and Jaziah as Annie! Thanks to CHAOS for making our dreams come true and selecting them for these roles. I cannot wait to be a dancer in this amazing show with a truly incredible cast and society.”

The family’s Labrador, Agatha, will also make her theatrical debut as the lovable stray dog “Sandy.”
The show runs from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 November at Stourbridge Town Hall, with evening performances at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are from £18 and available via Seaty, society members, or by calling 07763 489281.
