Aaron Rowe nets debut winner as Hornchurch beat Woking
Rowe’s fine strike found the corner of the net with 15 minutes left.
Second-half substitute Aaron Rowe scored the winner on his debut as Hornchurch beat Woking 1-0 to go fourth in the National League table.
Hornchurch had two good chances to take the lead towards the end of the first half but Woking goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen produced smart saves to deny Josh Walker and Jack Powell.
The hosts took the lead 15 minutes before the end when Rowe’s fine strike found the corner of the net.
Woking pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages but could not find one.
