Port Vale have signed midfielder Tom Conlon on a one-year contract.

The 22-year-old impressed during a trial spell at the club having been released by Stevenage at the end of last season.

Vale boss Neil Aspin told his club’s official website: “Tom’s done really well since he’s been here.

“He’s infectious in the fact that he gets about the park but he’s prepared to put his foot in and he’s good on the ball.”

Conlon started his career in the Stoke academy before moving on to Stevenage via a short spell at Peterborough.
