Four Premier League free agents Wolves could look at after Kieran Trippier news
Wolves fans were left shocked by the latest transfer news last week.
Wolves fans were left stunned last week when it was revealed that the club are set to sign former England international Kieran Trippier following his release from Newcastle United.
The former Atletico Madrid and Spurs man is out of contract this summer and was not going to be short of suitors amid interest from Premier League and Saudi Pro League clubs.
But Wolves have managed to convince the World Cup semi-final goalscorer to join the club - with a verbal agreement over a two year deal in place.
It comes after Wolves have already been linked with a handful of other free agents - as they look to build a squad prepared to push for an automatic return to the Premier League.
Here is a look at a handful of other free agents either in the Premier League or who have been relegated, that Wolves could fit the bill for Wolves this summer.
Dennis Cirkin - Sunderland
He is a player who was linked with a possible move to Wolves last summer - having starred for the Black Cats as they went on to win the Championship play-off final.
But the left back suffered injury issues and fell out of favour at the Stadium of Light last season - as Sunderland went on to qualify for Europe.
He has been tipped to exit and could be an excellent pick up in the Championship, owing to his experience in the division. He has spent his entire senior career with Sunderland, most of that in the second tier.
He was one of the standouts during Sunderland’s promotion season - and he is out of contract this summer.
Axel Tuanzebe - Burnley
The 28-year-old made 14 starts in the Premier League last season for Burnley - having joined on a one year deal from Ipswich Town.
He played a key role for the Tractor Boys in their promotion to the top flight in the 2024/25 season, before going on to make 22 appearances the following campaign.

He departed as a free agent - and is set to be in the same situation this summer if he isn’t offered a new deal at Turf Moor.
The 28-year-old has played Premier League football - and has promotion winning experience in the Championship.
Solly March - Brighton
After more than 300 appearances for the Seagulls - his exit from Brighton was confirmed last week.
March has been at Brighton for 14 seasons - and has been a big part of their rise from the Championship to becoming a solid top flight outfit.
Injuries have been an issue in recent years, but at 31 he still has a lot to give. There is already Premier League interest in the wide man.
He brings experience at the highest level, but could also still deliver real quality in the Championship.
Josh Laurent - Burnley
Another out of contract Burnley man who has been at the top level in the Championship is Laurent.
The versatile 31-year-old midfielder has significant experience at the level - and was huge in Burnley’s promotion two seasons ago.
