Danny Batth wants to light up Wolves

A Friday night game under the Molineux floodlights, the TV cameras in attendance and a Midlands derby.

It's all set up for an entertaining evening – now all Wolves have to do is win a game of football.

They've managed just two at Molineux all season.

And captain Danny Batth, who scored the winning goal at Rotherham last weekend, wants the team to put on a show.

"We're hoping to deliver a result," he said.

"They're in a similar position to us, they're a good team, they've got potential in that squad to be in and around the play-offs

"It'll be a tough, typical Championship game – we've got to want it more."

Is there a particular reason why Wolves have struggled at home?

"I just think it's been the period we've been going through," Batth said.

"It's been testing but hopefully we'll come out of the other side, get the right results over Christmas and show what we can do.

"It's set up for a good game, the TV cameras add an extra dimension, we've got to set our stall out to attack, and then defend correctly and put on a show for the fans who keep buying tickets and supporting us.

"We've got to follow that Rotherham win up now with another one."

Kenny Jackett has a couple of selection dilemmas, not least whether to recall striker Benik Afobe, who was dropped for the first time in his short Wolves career last weekend.

He could be paired with Adam Le Fondre, who replaced him in the team at Rotherham. Kevin McDonald, who hobbled off with a knock to the shin at New York Stadium, is fit to start, with only Kortney Hause (hamstring), Emiliano Martinez (thigh) and long-term knee injury victim Nouha Dicko unavailable.

Jackett said that just because Wolves won last week didn't mean he wouldn't change the team.

"I wouldn't say I'm one that wont change a team if its necessarily going well, but also for players to settle down and play their best and get into a rhythm is something they would choose," he said.

"They have to earn that, they have to be good enough individually and the team dynamics and balance have to be right.

"It's never cast in stone because different things can happen in the week as well."

Forest are one point and one place below Wolves.

They beat Jackett's team 3-0 at Molineux last November and the Wolves boss knows it will be a tough test.

"You look through their team and they have good players, like most Championship sides, they are no different, they're well balanced and they have good players," he said.

"They're both big clubs with good support and Forest, like with the Wolves supporters, get behind their team.

"Our supporters were fantastic last week. 1,700 went across to Rotherham and really backed us and contributed towards that win.

"You have to be good enough to get them believing. If we can do that, this little run we have, we want to turn the home advantage in our favour.

"We've had three draws and a win and to win consistently in the Championship is difficult – but that's our aim."
