Despite Nuno Espirito Santo's men having a plethora of chances throughout the game, the former Red Devils midfielder saw things very differently.

"I think they (United) started the second half in the ascendancy. But they’ve gifted the game to Wolves, the red card and the first goal." he told Sky Sports.

"That’s all Wolves have done in the game, but mistakes have been punished.

"In the FA Cup, Wolves were better, but United were better here."

England's Ashley Young was sent off for two bookable offences on Diogo Jota with many regarding the second tackle as a straight red.

However Fetcher, who made over 90 Premier League appearances for West Brom between 2014-2017, felt the sending-off was soft.

"The letter of the law it’s a red, but he hasn’t been helped out. When you’ve been drilled to stop the counter attack, he (Young) will be annoyed.

"It’s easy to say to let him run past but to be sent off in the game for those only two fouls, it is disappointing."
