Ex-West Brom chief axed after 27 games linked with vacant Championship job
The ex-Albion boss was sacked earlier this season.
A former West Brom boss who took his first managerial job with the club this season has been linked with the vacant post at Watford.
The Hornets went through their latest manager in almost record quick time - as Ed Still was axed at the end of the season, following just a handful of games in charge.
The brother of Will, who briefly managed Southampton this season, endured a rotten run at the end of the campaign.
Now the Hornets are on the lookout for a new manager - and an ex-Albion chief has been reported as one of the names in the frame.

Ryan Mason took over at Albion last summer for what was his first managerial role - having spent a lengthy period of time as a coach at Tottenham.
Mason, who had previously linked with a move abroad, enjoyed a superb start to the campaign.
However, Albion began to falter and slide down the table with Mason axed in January following a defeat to Leicester City.
Albion’s rotten record of defeats away from home was the nail in Mason’s coffin, with his time in charge ending after just 27 games.
His replacement did not do any better - in fact Eric Ramsay departed Albion with no wins from his nine games in charge.
For Mason, it appears that he may just be back in a Championship dugout next season.
According to the bookmakers, he is among some of the early favourites to land the Watford job, alongside Garcia Pimienta, ex-Southampton chief Russell Martin, former Leicester boss Marti Cifuentes and the departed Burnley manager Scott Parker.
