A fundraising night is being held at a Cannock pub in memory of a much-loved customer who died following a battle with cancer.

The Duck, in Chadsmoor, is organising the event in honour of Tony Patterson, affectionately known as Patto, with money raised going to St Giles Hospice.

The event will take place on December 11, from 9pm, bringing together friends, regulars and members of the local community to celebrate Patto's life.

The evening will feature live music from Ska-Waddy and a raffle with prizes donated by supporters.

Organisers hope to raise as much money as possible for the hospice, which is a cause close to their hearts.

The event has been arranged to coincide with what would have been Patto's birthday, with the pub keen to do something positive in his memory.

Tickets cost £5 per person, while raffle strips are £1 each. All money raised will go directly to St Giles Hospice.

Tickets are available from The Duck pub in Chadsmoor.
