Albion boss Tony Mowbay is ready to hand Arsenal the 'Old Firm treatment' when the Baggies return to the big time tomorrow.
Mowbray's men face a Premier League baptism of fire when they take on Arsene Wenger's side in the 12.45pm clash.
The manager is taking inspiration from famous successes in Scotland, as he plots a possible shock at the Emirates Stadium.
Mowbray's Hibernian side beat Rangers three times in one season, including two 3-0 victories at Ibrox as well recording memorable wins over Celtic.
He said: "Celtic and Rangers up there are like Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool down here.
"But it's even greater because they have 60,000 supporters every week, whereas the rest, while Aberdeen might have 15,000 but some getting 3,000 or 4,000.
"That puts it into context so, with all due respect to the Premier League, I think everyone else should be a little bit closer to the big four and should be more competitive.
"And they are, because every team in the Premier League can more than give the big four a game on any given day.
"Our goal this year has got to be that on every Saturday we are competitive. We have to make sure we're not getting rolled over 4-0 or 5-0 every week and players are deflated, not feeling like they can cope. I'm pretty sure that is not going to happen and that we will be competitive most weeks.
"Some weeks we might lose 4-0 but I would suggest it will be because we go chasing a game that we're 2-0 down in, take a gamble and leave ourselves a bit vulnerable.
"I can't say how every game is going to go but you have to have a belief going to Arsenal that you can win, otherwise you might as well not bother turning up."
Mowbray will have to mastermind any win without Neil Clement, Robert Koren and Luke Moore. Clement (knee) has been ruled out for the next two weeks while the game will come too soon for Koren (knee) and Moore (thigh).
