Hednesford Town sign Manchester United starlet on loan
Ambitious Hednesford Town went full-time over the summer after winning promotion to National League North.
Hednesford Town have signed teenage goalkeeper Will Murdock on loan from Manchester United.
The 19-year-old, who has been with the Old Trafford club for a decade, has senior experience having played in the EFL Trophy and National League Cup for United’s under-21s.
And now he is determined to establish himself at the Pitmen as he battles for the No.1 shirt with former Walsall keeper Sam Hornby.
“I'm really excited to be here,” said Murdock. “I feel like this this is a this is the right club for me to grow as a person and as a player as well. So, I'm looking forward to it.
“The gaffer has explained where the club's at at the minute and their goals for the rest of the season, and I'm just looking forward to be a part of that.
“I hope to be playing men's football throughout the whole season and at a consistent level as well.”
The Pitmen are still trying to find their feet back in the second tier of non-league football and sit 19th after nine matches, having accumulated nine points.
They are at home to lower-league Coventry United in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup tomorrow (3pm).
