Glassboys signing in derby spot

Stourbridge could hand former Chasetown FA Cup hero Damien Whitcombe a debut in tomorrow's derby clash with Stourport.

The midfielder has signed on a month's loan from Redditch and could be pitched straight into the meeting with improving Swifts.

"We're delighted to have Damien on board," manager Gary Hackett said. "He's got a good pedigree and an absolutely excellent left foot so we're hoping he can add a bit more to our squad."

The Glassboys boss – who is set to retain comeback kid Paul Danks in his forward line-up – reckons Swifts are a different proposition now Paul "Ocker" Davies is in charge.

"I know Ocker and I'm looking forward to renewing acquaintances with him. They've improved since he's take over and we know it's not going to be an easy game."
