The Marvels and the Marbelles showcased their skills on Stafford Rugby Club's inclusivity day.
Stafford's two mixed ability teams took part in an occasion headline by England deaf women's side beating Silhillians Sirens 27-19.
Though the other results did not go the way of the Marvels and the Marbelles, there were plenty of positives to take from the day at Blackberry Lane.
The Marvels lost 41-21 to the Bolton Buccaneers, though did well to keep battling after a fast start from the visitors saw them surge into the lead.
Stafford got on the board for the first time when the experienced boot of Will Conaghan launched the ball high and a flying Simon McDonald crashed through to ground it, with Simon Lewis converting.
The Marvels wouldn’t stop fighting in the second half and fought back level with two superb tries,
Some slick passing released Ayden Lillico to leave scorch marks down the wing for a stunning Stafford try, converted by Zack Pressland.
Then an elusive run from James Hughes left defenders standing as he crashed across the line for a try, converted by Zac Pressland.
But Bolton finished the match the stronger as they prised the scores apart with three late tries.
The Marbelles went down 31-7 to Uttoxeter Vixens - their try coming when Lou Kowalewska Fry crashed across the line and Amelia Gardener converted.
