Midfielder vows to 'finish the job' after making Kidderminster Harriers return
Midfielder Ryley Reynolds has vowed to "finish the job" with Kidderminster Harriers after returning to the club on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old has re-joined from parent club Notts County four days before Harriers kick-off the new National League North campaign at home to Scarborough Athletic.
Reynolds was part of the team which missed out on promotion in agonising fashion last term, first letting slip the title on the final day, before being knocked out by Chester in the play-offs.
And he said: “We didn’t quite get the job over the line last season but I am sure we will this time.
“I really love the club. When the opportunity arose to come back, I snatched at it.
“The club brought me along leaps and bounds last season and hopefully I can kick on again. My aim is to play every single game this year.”
Reynolds made 32 appearances after joining on an initial one-month loan last November, which was then extended through to the end of the season.
He has returned now to a club which has undergone considerable upheaval on and off the pitch since the Chester defeat, with Adam Murray replacing Phil Brown in the dugout.
Reynolds held positive conversations with the new boss before committing to an Aggborough return.
He said: “The gaffer is really good. I have spoken with him quite a bit and I like his philosophy.
“I just can’t wait to get going in the league this Saturday.
“He is demanding and that is what we need. He is very demanding on metrics, we have to get after teams and press them.
“He is very detailed and there is a lot of work on shape. I am just getting to grips with it but I am sure I will take to it.”
